In a bid to eliminate unprofessional contractor, Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama instructed Bina Marga Department to combine whole work package with low budget. At least the budget that can be auctioned is amounting to Rp 5 billion.
Basuki Questioned Huge Budget for KBT Maintenance
“I want all work packages at low budget to be combined. The amount in each auction must be more than Rp 5 billion,” he said, at City Hall, Saturday (11/21).
He assessed if the amount was higher, it would eliminate unprofessional contractor. Because of them, many projects are stagnated.
“I want city projects done by professional contractor,” he asserted.
Responding on this matter, Head of Jakarta Bina Marga Dept, Yusmada disclosed his dept is going to combine several work packages.
"And then continued to with consolidation auction. The contract remains per work package, but still with the same auction winner,” he uttered.
